Spring hinge

Spring hinge.

These type of gate hinges is installed on metallic swing doors to allow its opening and closing. This particular hinge has a spring around the axle which allows a return movement. The spring hinge is available in steel and mirror polish stainless steel (AISI 316). The spring hinge has left hand and right hand.

Left hand or right hand hinges?

“Right hand” hinges: Are the hinges that you find on the right side of the door when you open it.“Left hand” hinges: Are the hinges that you find on the left side of the door when you open it.

Installation recommendations: Always weld the lower flag to the frame of the door; the lower flag operates as the pin since it is the one that supports the weight of the door.

1. Choose the correct code according to the type of door.
   a)Cod. 34D. When opening the door by pushing, the hinges are placed on the right hand.
   b)Cod. 34IZ. When opening the door by pushing, the hinges are placed on the left hand.
2. Weld the hinge to the door holding the fixed part to the frame door and the regulating part to the door so the B pin will be accessible to handle it.
3. Once the door is fixed, loosen the B screw and use the A screw (allen key 6 mm) to tighten the spring. Choose from the 5 positions that the hinge has, the one that has enough strength to generate the self-closure of the door, once the door is fixed tighten the B screw.
4.  This position will be fixed by tightening the B screw. The hinge is now perfectly installed.
